Elizabeth Hudson graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Biology in 2001 from the University of Southern Indiana, in Evansville, IN. After graduation, she began her career as a molecular research technician at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During that time, Mrs. Hudson gained both project management and technical experience, becoming proficient in basic and advanced molecular biology techniques including PCR, real-time PCR, electrophoresis, and radioimmunoassay.
Mrs. Hudson was hired by PGXL Laboratories in 2006 as a clinical laboratory technician. Her responsibilities include clinical diagnostic testing, project management, quality assurance and assay evaluation. She enjoys the impact her work has on patient care and the opportunity to contribute her technical expertise to clinical laboratory medicine.
Mrs. Hudson's career interests include the science of human genetics in the areas of pharmacogenetics, genetic disease, and forensics.
