Dr. Ramey earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology, with a minor in Biochemistry, at Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2004. Her scientific specialties include molecular microbial genetics and pathogenesis.
She has received several research training and travel grants, including an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mechanisms of Parasitology at the Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa, followed by an industry Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacogenetics at PGXL Laboratories.
She has authored 10 published abstracts and first-authored three published manuscripts, including a review, a protocols chapter and a research article, which was honored as a cover piece. She has co-authored a fourth published article, and has co-written several successful grant applications.
Dr. Ramey is the Manager of Technology Development at PGXL Laboratories. Her efforts are focused on clinical pharmacogenetics method development, publications, and grant-writing.
